Meet Kim

Kim Jenkins, Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

Kim is a neurodiversity-affirming speech therapist who is passionate about helping neurodivergent children and their families flourish. Empowering Speech Services was built on the idea that authentic and meaningful communication can be achieved by focusing on your child's strengths, meeting their sensory needs, following their lead, and empowering family members in the process. Serving the Milton and Alpharetta areas of Georgia, we take the time to truly get to know your child—their joys, interests, unique strengths, and individual challenges.

Mission

We empower neurodivergent children to communicate meaningfully and grow with confidence. We provide neuroaffirming support for Gestalt Language Processors, children with executive functioning challenges, and literacy disorders.

Approach

Our speech therapy sessions are child-led and conducted through play. We model language through the strategies of Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) to support development of original, self-generated language.
